Ibanez BTB865SC Bass Guitar.
If you're looking for a great bass, the playability and value it brings, then the Ibanez Bass Workshop BTB865SC 5-string bass guitar will meet your needs. This bass's innovative design starts with its unique construction — which also gives it its impressive appearance. The neck's construction throughout and the upper body design combine to provide maximum stability, solidity of sound, and never-ending resonance. Meanwhile, the deep bottom cut helps you easily reach the highest notes. Ibanez equipped the Bass Workshop BTB865SC with a pair of powerful Bartolini BH2 pickups and provided a center finger ramp. This helps you not dig too deep, improving your strumming technique to improve dexterity, speed and tone. With all of this — plus a very budget-friendly price — the Ibanez Bass Workshop BTB865SC is absolutely an opportunity not to be missed.

Bartolini Classic Soapbars Pickup Brings the Tone
The Bartolini BH2 passive pickup delivers classic tones on demand. Their dual-coil humbucking design eliminates annoying hum but delivers powerful sound. They are truly amazing in their responsiveness. When you play hard, it will make roaring sounds. When you play lightly, they become sweet and clear. Bartolini's Classic Bass Pickups are popular with progressive, jazz, gospel and metal musicians, where tonal expression is important. Ask any audio-savvy bass player and they'll confirm that, on stage or in the studio, your bass will sound great with Bartolini BH2 soapnar pickups.
Ibanez BTB865SC control system
Mono-Rail Bridge Enhances Clarity and Maintains Maximum Sound.
Ibanez has specified their excellent MR5 (Mono-rail) bridge for the BTB865SC. Unlike single-body bridges, each Mono-rail V saddle is completely separate from the other saddles. This does two things for you. First, because they are not connected, the saddles create minimal sympathetic vibration, preventing unused strings from vibrating. Second, each saddle is double-anchored, allowing for efficient energy transfer between the strings and the stem. Bottom line: you'll be amazed by the BTB865SC's incredible clarity and durability
Ibanez: Brief History.
Ibanez began operations in 1908 as the Hoshino Gakki company in Nagoya, Japan. However, the company did not enter the guitar business until 1929, when they began importing Salvador Ibanez guitars from Spain. In 1935, Hoshino Gakki began making Spanish acoustic guitars under the name “Ibanez Salvador”, later shortened to Ibanez. Although Ibanez began making electric guitars in 1957, the company was relatively unknown in the West until the 1960s, when they began making guitars based on American designs. In the late 1970s, Ibanez stopped making derivative instruments and began producing the innovative original guitar and bass designs for which the company is now famous. Ibanez is also famous for its effects pedals, most notably the Tube Screamer.
