The AMBIENCE knob controls the natural ambiance and resonance of the drum kit sound. On acoustic drum sounds, AMBIENCE MODIFIER controls the real recorded natural ambiance from 0-50%. When turned higher than 50%, high-quality digital echo is also included in the sound.

The COMP (compression) and EFFECT (effects) knobs use the "1-knob" control technology found on Yamaha PA products.
