The shell design of Yamaha Recording Custom drums adds power and clarity to the drum kit's sound, while eliminating unwanted sonic interference from other drums mounted nearby.
The 6-layer Poplar wood structure is a favorite in studios. And the 30-degree impact humps provide quick response, ease of tuning, and accentuate the tonal characteristics of the drum kit.

The heavy-duty lugs are built with increased weight to help reduce noise and unwanted sounds from the housing. YESS mounts connect to the housing with minimal contact. This allows the drum to resonate freely.
