Full Maple wood case (6-ply support edge-5.6mm / 45 degrees)
The all-Maple shell gives the Tour Custom drums a bright, warm sound. The housing is designed with a 6-ply-5.6mm/45-degree beveled edge that adds sonic depth and responsiveness and provides just the right amount of sustain. Finished in a beautiful satin paint (with all-new colors) that maximizes the tonal potential of the Maple shell, the Tour Custom drums sound great and play well in any musical style.
Yamaha Advanced Sustainment System - YESS
The YESS mounting assembly is designed to minimize contact between the housing and the mounting bracket for a wider, more sustained sound dynamic range.
Reverse Dyna Hoop (2.3mm)
The newly designed 2.3mm inverted Dyna Hoop controls the natural overtones inherent in all-Maple drums and focuses on the fundamental tone of the shell.
Pure Lug
The shell has Yamaha's own pure Lug. Sophisticated design brings a premium feel to the drum.
