80/20 Bronze acoustic guitar strings let your sound shine with a deep yet bright and clear tone.
D'Addario 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings in 80/20 bronze have a bright tone from a compound of 80% red copper and 20% tin, also commonly referred to as "brass" strings. 80/20 is the original acoustic string alloy selected by John D'Addario Sr. and John D'Angelico back to the 1930s.
Strings are popular for recording thanks to their crisp, deep bass – the result of a compound with less copper and more tin than phosphor bronze. It appeals to many traditionalists and classical enthusiasts because of the historic element of the strings themselves. Like all D'Addario strings, the 80/20 is wound around a hexagonal high-carbon steel core, delivering a bright, long-lasting sound with great tonality.
