The AE900 is crafted with an Indian Rosewood body with a Solid Sitka Spruce top. This classic combination of woods delivers an extremely wide frequency response with excellent balance throughout the range.
The Rosewood body provides the durability needed for powerful performance, while the Spruce top enhances the player's sound with great nuance and wide dynamic range.
The top is supported by a clamshell X brace that completes the AE900's entire sound spectrum. This construction allows for deep bass, clear mids, and bell-like highs. It produces a wide tonal range to deliver a complex timbre that is evident only in the highest quality instruments. This creates a large dynamic range with incredible responsiveness to player input.
The back of the AE900 is also reinforced for added sturdiness. This provides enhanced performance with outstanding durability and tonal richness.
The AE-style body shape is designed for balance and comfort. It has a modern notch that allows for easy access to the tall keys. Compared to dreadnoughts, the deeper waist provides a versatile sound that is highly adaptable to different playing styles. This shape gives the image of a dreadnought but still offers the subtle nuances of a concert/auditorium, making it ideal for both powerful plucking and detailed fingering.
The AE900 is built with an "Advanced Comfort Grip Neck". A lightweight asymmetrical profile that conforms to the ergonomics of your left palm and creates a unique and natural playing feel. The neck thickens as you move higher, while the profile adapts to your natural playing position.
The AE900 features a Gotoh SGS510Z lock for precise adjustment and enhanced stability. They have a 1:18 scale that ensures precise adjustment.
The AE900 has a pickup under the saddle. Much of the work of shaping the tone is left to the external AGP10 preamp (supplied). This preamp offers unsurpassed control over your sound for a truly professional performance. It features extensive control over your sound, along with a direct 1/4" connection and balanced XLR output.
The AGP10 has a 5-band EQ, giving you the full feature set. The AGP10 can be powered by 9v or by battery.
