Mahogany wood.

- The wood top is harder and the grain is thicker than Spruce or Cedar
- Initially the tone is bright, but gradually the tone becomes deeper
With a harder, thicker structure, Mahogany and Koa wood are used for the back and sides of the guitar, and are sometimes used for the front of the guitar. The initial hardness of the guitar has a bright tone and it takes a long time for the guitar to break down for a richer sound. A Mahogany wooden guitar gives players many emotions in many different genres.
Layered Sapele wood.
The back and sides of the Taylor GS Mini are a combination of 3 layers of wood, with a middle core of Poplar wood with a layer of veneer on each side. Although the sound will not be as thick as a solid wood guitar, Sapele wood provides a resilient structure and can withstand different environmental temperatures.
