Taylor 214CE Guitar Grand Auditorium Shape.

The popular shape of the Grand Auditorium appeared in 1994 with proportions somewhere between the Dreadnought and the Grand Concert. While the traditional Dreadnought has a large profile for flatpicker's and a smaller Grand Concert for fingerstyle players, the GA is designed to play both styles.
Layered Rosewood – Used on the 200 series.
Like Sapele wood, layered Rosewood has a structure made entirely of laminate wood. The characteristics of Laminate wood are heat resistance, high humidity resistance and especially cheaper price than whole wood, and this is also part of preserving natural wood resources. However, Taylor always ensures that with technology and craftsmanship, each model with a Laminate wood structure always produces a balanced and clear sound.
The Taylor 214CE Guitar integrates the Taylor Expression System® 2 (ES2) pickup system.
The Taylor Expression System® 2 (ES2) is a revolutionary design in Taylor's continued innovation in acoustic guitar pickups. The change in ES2 structure includes volume and tone control buttons. The “Preamp” is similar but with slightly different amplification, so it will be about 25% hotter to match the pickup lines. This makes it plug and play friendly for the most realistic sound.
