Decade is the only Maple lacquer drum in this price range backed by Pearl's promise of unmatched quality. EvenPly-Six's slim shell makes it the perfect kit for developing drummers or an excellent performance kit for seasoned pros.

Using the world's first high-temperature hydraulic press system, Pearl's SST method was developed to fabricate multi-layer, bonded drum shells with the resonance and durability of single-layer solid wood .

This exclusive engineering begins with hand-selected premium hardwoods, chosen for their unique acoustic properties.

Each layer is milled to a precise thickness and bonded into 2-layer panels.

Utilizes Pearl's signature stacked scarf-style seam, providing 800% more bond surface area than conventional butt joints, ensuring perfect edge fit, providing superior extreme durability and integrity to the housing while eliminating air pockets that can disrupt vibrations, so the housing vibrates evenly for superior resonance.

The wood layers are bonded with Pearl's proprietary glue, which penetrates the wood and dries to the wood's exact consistency to create optimal resonance.

Finally, the wood layers are shaped in a mold at high temperature with 1000 PSI hydraulic pressure, creating an optimal air cavity for optimal resonance, extreme durability, and outstanding tone.

All are tested for completeness to ensure safety and optimal adjustment.

The thin (yet powerful) SST shell responds quickly to travel with strong midrange power and sensitivity.

Bearing edge 45 degrees.

The bearing edge is the only part of the shell that the drum face contacts. Pearl's bearing edge has a standard 45-degree bevel on the inside. The top edge of the drum provides the perfect combination of resistance, warmth of sound, and sustain through minimal contact with the drumhead.

UV-cured lacquer finish.

The wood for the shell is hand-selected for its grain and texture to provide sound and resonance. The striking appearance of the Maple wood exterior is enhanced by multiple lacquer treatments.

Hardware elevates drum kits.

Lightweight shell hardware, minimal contact surface with the drum, ensures optimal shell performance and rugged durability.

NDL small lug. Small, efficient and sturdy, the NDL lugs are designed to not take up too much space on the case.

The three-point isolation mount suspends the drum at two adjustment points and one of the drum's vents for sturdy, stable playing.

The BB300 double tom stand and included Uni-Lock tom arms provide effective independent tom placement directly from the bass drum.
