Yamaha DFP9C Double Chain Drive Pedal.
Double chain drive creates an indirect link between the pedal and the beater, transmitting the movement of the drummer's feet to the beater. The linkage can slide to three positions, allowing drummers to fine-tune pedal action to suit their preferred performance.
The chain drive achieves gradual tension throughout the drum stroke as the player presses the pedal. Moving the cam from C1 to C3 will reduce the initial tension.
The frame and bearing housing (blue part) are independently smoothed and precision-engineered before assembly, allowing these parts to be aligned to the centerline of the shaft and bearings to produce smooth rotation. .
The hinge base and cover (blue part) are independently smoothed and precisely machined before assembly, allowing the pedal to operate smoothly.
Moving the spring adjustment knob upward greatly simplifies the previously complicated process of tension adjustment. The knob is locked at a 90 degree angle to prevent the knob from loosening on its own.
Attaching weights to beaters allows drummers to achieve their preferred sound and feel. Available in aluminum (3g) and brass (9g) weights, which can be easily attached and removed.
Beater angle and pedal angle can be adjusted independently and freely. The angle checker allows drummers to easily recreate their preferred settings.
The FP9 series has its own carrying case.
