The Octapad SPD-30 blends the world's most essential electronic percussion sounds with the latest triggering technology in a tough-to-go sound package, ready for the most demanding performers.

- Sound Bank

Unlike the original Octapad PAD-8, which is a MIDI controller, the Octapad SPD-30 is a controller with its own built-in sound bank. 50 kits are built into the SPD-30 with quality sounds for a variety of musical styles.

- Multi-effects

Based on Roland's world-leading effects technology, the SPD-30's multi-effects engine will take your performance to the next level. There are 30 types of multi-effects inside, plus EQ, limiter, and seven ambience types

- Phrase Loop function

The built-in Phrase Loop function allows you to instantly create multi-layered loops and clusters. You can record and store 50 clusters in memory, with each cluster containing up to three layers. You can also save your cluster data to USB Memory.

- Advanced activation technology

The Octapad SPD-30 benefits from Roland's most advanced V-Drum trigger technology. Each pad face is a separate, isolated unit, providing optimum sensitivity with complete rejection of crosstalk. Additionally, you can connect four dual trigger inputs plus a hi-hat controller (Roland FD-8, VH-11 compatible) to create a mini drum kit with external pads (Roland series). KD/PD/PDX/CY), as well as accept trigger from acoustic drums through Roland's RT line.
