Martin D45S Authentic 1936 Guitar.
The new Authentics are built the old fashioned way - with hidden, transparent glue and historically accurate details confirmed using a CAT scanner located at the Smithsonian Institution. The 1936 D-45S Authentic is based on the D-45 large body model in Martin's museum and features a Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Adirondack Spruce top, and Authentic "45" style details.
Martin's new VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM (VTS) is used for the top and rim. The new Martin VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM (VTS) uses a unique formula. VTS works like a time machine, in that Martin can target certain time periods and date the wood. This method allows Martin's craftsmen to recreate not only the pleasing visual aesthetics of a vintage guitar but also the distinctive tones previously reserved for classical instruments.
