With a quick-adjust cam, the chain-drive pedal gradually increases tension throughout play. When the pedal is depressed, this tension can be adjusted for optimal playability. Yamaha's chain-driven single pedal is equipped with an adjustable weight that allows you to achieve your preferred sound and feel. Includes an aluminum weight (3g) and a copper weight (9g), both of which can be attached and removed easily. The heel of the pedal is equipped with foam, which prevents the pedal from slipping when playing, improving stability.
The chain drive achieves gradual tension throughout the drum stroke as the player presses the pedal. Moving the cam from C1 to C3 will reduce the initial tension.
Excellent stability
The shaft stabilization force chamber is the blue part next to the pedal chain. The bearing housing and frame are independently smoothed and precision-engineered before assembly, allowing them to mesh with the center axis of the shaft and bearings to produce smooth rotation.
The Yamaha FP9 direct-drive single pedal features easy-to-access automatic locking spring adjustment. Moving the spring adjustment knob up simplifies the tension adjustment process, which can often be difficult with certain pedals. The knob is locked at a 90-degree angle to prevent it from loosening.
Smooth performance
Both strike angle and foot angle can be adjusted independently and freely. The inclusion of an angle test tool allows you to easily recreate your preferred settings for maximum playability and optimal performance. Additionally, the top of the foot board is equipped with ball bearings, allowing for smoother operation.
