In 1975, ESP was born as the only official custom guitar manufacturer in the world. At that time, there was no guitar manufacturer in Japan that could meet the special needs of the artists and fulfill their desires for guitar care and repair.

ESP took a leap in reputation and gained global recognition at the Namm Show (international trade fair) in Chicago, USA, where ESP showcased its products and demonstrated the level of workmanship only after 3 years of company establishment.

Wood as a raw material is carefully selected and treated, ESP pays special attention to materials as well as production skills. They only use really good ingredients. All craftsmen are guitarists.
