The B Series is inspired by Yamaha's popular U Series with a soundboard and frame crafted from premium tonewoods and select Spruce. The result is pianos whose timbre exceeds expectations.

Premium V-Pro frame.

Yamaha was the first to use an advanced Vacuum Shield Molding technology called V-Pro to create a stronger, lighter and more durable frame. Each B Series piano features a full-sized frame built to Yamaha's exact specifications in Japan.

Hand wound bass strings.

Yamaha artisans at Yamaha's factory in Kakegawa, Japan oversee the winding of the pure copper strings and adjust the balance and tension of each bass string to precise standards and tonal profiles.

Often copied but never equaled, Yamaha's patented aluminum action rail helps ensure Yamaha piano keyboards are resistant to small fluctuations in humidity and temperature according to time.
