Squier is known as a sub-brand of Fender, specializing in producing quality guitars at an affordable price.
The history of the Squier brand.
The VC Squier Company was founded in 1890 by Victor Carroll Squier in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA. Squier originally produced strings for violins, banjos and guitars. In 1965, this company was acquired by Fender.
In the early 80's Japan appeared replicas of vintage Fender guitars at a much cheaper price than genuine Fender made in the US. In response to piracy, Fender built a factory in Japan in March 1982 and tasked Squier to produce high-quality Vintage models at low prices to compete with the originals. In late 1983, as well as in Europe and Japan, Fender decided to bring Squier to the US to compete with model theft in the domestic market.
In order to stand out without directly competing with domestic Fender models, Squier-branded Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Bullet® trees have a 70s character and are introduced as musical instruments. was "authorized" to borrow classic designs from Fender. With the slogan “A brand appeal”, Fender has reborn the Squier brand in the US market.

Affinity Series : This collection was added by Squier in 1996.
Basic Stratocaster, Telecaster, and Precision Bass guitars come in simple black, red, and white colors. Plants made in Indonesia have diagonal stripes on their necks while those made in China do not.
Bullet Series : Simple, practical and affordable - it's the Squier Bullet Series.
Designed for beginners and students alike, Squier Stratocaster models are equipped with a classic tremolo system that creates the perfect guitar for the beginner player.
Vintage Modified Series : Squier's Modified Vintage line was introduced in 2004.
Featuring a range of premium functions based on the classic design concept and adding "hot rod" features such as hardware variations, gloss painted necks, new paint colors and pickguards. Modified guitar models include Stratocasters, Telecasters, Jaguars, Jazzmasters, and Mustangs.
