Its Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickup system provides ultimate clarity across settings, while its dyna-MIX 10 switching system provides 10 pickup switches. Covered with a beautiful decorative layer of bocote, the body is made of American basswood. The Ibanez AZ224 shape provides a balanced feel, while the contoured neck allows players to easily hit higher notes. In addition, the Gotoh T1502 2-way tremolo allows for perfect intonation changes in solos or riffs.
The fingerboard is made of Maple wood for stability and durability.
The Ibanez Premium AZ242 has a neck made of heat-treated Maple wood to increase stability, durability, water resistance and resistance to temperature changes. It also provides balanced sound and tone. To achieve maximum playing comfort, Ibanez has perfected the design of the fingerboard's edge with a smooth curve. Additionally, players can easily increase their ability to play at the highest frets with Ibanez's Super All Access neck.
Stainless Jumbo frets.

Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickup system.
The Ibanez AZ Premium AZ242 is equipped with a moderately powerful Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickup, with an Alnico V magnet for clear, distortion-free tonal balance. Additionally, the dyna-MIX10 offers 10 sound variations with easy switching between humbucker and single-coil modes with just a mini switch. A T1502 tremolo bridge, developed in collaboration with Gotoh, features a steel saddle and zinc-cast tremolo block for quick response.
The Ibanez Premium AZ242 also uses the Gotoh Magnum Lock which has a reputation for stable adjustment. In addition, the HPH (Height Adjustable Post) system allows adjusting the string posts and ensuring the appropriate tension of each string.
