It is a more advanced model than the F310 but still in the company's low price segment. This model is one of five models in the F/FX Series line, a line designed for beginners.
F/FX Series models include guitars F310, Yamaha F370, model FS100C and FX370C, FX310All. (The letter C means cutaway and the letter X means that model has EQ).
