Taking the famous Katana guitar amp line to a new level.
Enhance the core platform with more sounds, more effects, and more features. And the built-in effects categories have been expanded from three to five, providing more real-time processing to choose from. Usability has also been enhanced, multiple effects, updated editing software and many other improvements.
Professional effect quality
The effects section of Katana amps contains over 60 effects and is inherited from the GT-100, ready to plug and play. While the original Katana amplifier (old Model Katana-50) gave you a choice of three effects at once, the current Katana-50 MkII includes five types of effects simultaneously, bringing the tone-shaping power of a Large Multi-Effect unit right inside your amplifier. This is the big difference between Roland-Boss branded Amps.
Deep editing with Tone Studio software
Connecting to BOSS Tone Studio lets you dig deeper if you want — your sounds with over 60 different effect types, reordering with four different sequences, and more.
Ready to show off your power
In fact, for many players, the 50W power factor is the perfect balance between power and weight, making it a favorite of performance professionals.
Control developments and master the situation
The Katana 50 MkII gives you storage of two presets, with a total of 4 saveable sounds. You can access them using the on-panel controls, but for real performance-stage versatility, all you need to do is connect the BOSS FS-6 or FS foot pedal. -7. This will give you control of all 4 presets in one performance.
Additionally, you can connect an Expression pedal like the BOSS EV-30 or EV-5 to give you real-time access to wah and whammy effects.
12” Speaker
12” speakers are considered the industry standard for professional guitar amplifiers. The custom-designed driver in the Katana 50 MkII combo is based on the classic sound of Britain's first 4×12" speakers, giving you a great balance of roaring mids while still Maintains a solid bass sound.
Expand capacity for home use
You've seen that the Katana's 50W output is more than enough to keep up with your band. But does that mean it's too big? There's nothing to worry about. With onboard power scaling control, you can easily scale it down to 25W or even 0.5W - or completely silent using the headphone jack. (Wide power sharing does not reduce the power of the sound when listening at lower power).
Recording at home is easy
The headphone jack also doubles as a Recording Output jack. This gives you the option of plugging the Katana straight into other recording devices, delivering classic guitar tones that you're ready to rock out to right in the room. Additionally, the USB connection allows you to redesign the Amp model in your own way, as well as to connect to a computer as a soundcard for recording.
Internal power amplifier
The Katana 50 MkII functions as a standalone amplifier, but it also excels as a power supply for your favorite preamp, modeler or multi-effects. Connecting to the rear panel Power Amp In jack bypasses the Katana MkII's effects and preamps, giving you a compact, powered platform for easy amplification from the GT-1 or your GT-1000.
